Spring in Lincoln, Nebraska has a way of showing off, and the grounds outside the Sheldon Museum of Art are one of the best spots to take it all in. I recently had the chance to photograph the Andrews family there, and between the colorful blooms and laid-back vibes, the session felt like a perfect mix of art, nature, and real moments.

The Sheldon Art Museum sits right in the heart of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus. Its clean architectural lines, sculpture garden, and open green spaces make it a versatile location for family photos—especially in the spring when everything is in bloom.
During our session, the trees were full of fresh color, flowers were everywhere, and the light had that soft golden quality that makes everything look a little better.
The Andrews: Easygoing and Fun
The Andrews family came ready to enjoy the morning—and that’s exactly what we did. No stiff poses or forced smiles. Just some walking, laughing, playing, and a little quiet time in between. Their kids had a blast exploring the space, and their natural energy made for some really great, candid shots.
