Spring in Lincoln means longer days, fresh green landscapes, and the return of golden sunsets—perfect conditions for outdoor family photos. I recently met up with the Garcia family at Pioneers Park for a relaxed evening session just before sunset, and it couldn’t have been a better setting.
Natural Light, Natural Moments
We started the shoot about an hour before sunset to make the most of the soft, even light. The Garcias kept things simple and genuine—walking, laughing, and just spending time together. That authenticity is what makes their photos stand out.

Overall, my advice for family photography sessions is always the same — think of it more as spending time with your family doing an activity that you love, rather than a photo session. When people feel like they can be themselves, this is where the magic happens. When everyone feels comfortable, we easily create those perfectly candid photos.
