There’s something truly special about photographing families while they travel—there’s adventure in the air, a relaxed spirit, and so much joy.
Visiting from out of state, the Irvines were in Omaha, Nebraska for a long weekend getaway, and they decided to mark the trip with a family photography session. I couldn’t have been more thrilled to help them preserve a piece of their vacation with a fun, lighthearted shoot full of laughter & connection.
Sessions like this are why I love what I do. The Irvines reminded me once again that the most beautiful photos come from real moments—when you’re having fun, making memories, and just being yourselves.

Overall, my advice for family photography sessions is always the same — think of it more as spending time with your family doing an activity that you love, rather than a photo session. When people feel like they can be themselves, this is where the magic happens. When everyone feels comfortable, we easily create those perfectly candid photos. We all want photos that capture the personality of the people we love most and that is always my goal for your session.
